QUALITY SLEEP IMPROVES YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH

Image
Struggling with getting quality sleep at night? Create a room that's ideal for sleeping - a cool, dark and quiet one. Exposure to light often makes it more challenging to fall asleep, especially the blue light that interferes with the secretion of melatonin, the natural sleep arousal hormone. Hence, avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Keep televisions away from your room and avoid the active use of your computer/laptop and phone devices while in bed. You may also consider using room-darkening shades, sleep blind folds, or other devices to create a dark environment that suits your body need for melatonin secretion. You are unstoppable! @DrOsaz

Did you know your food can influence your mood? Did you also know that your mood swings may have something to do with your food habits? Healthy fats are like fuel for a good mood. They’re one of the most important things to include in your diet to promote a healthy mood & a balanced metabolism. Healthy fats also promote good heart health, reduce cholesterol, and contain none of the harmful side effects associated with animal-based saturated fats. Thinking of healthy fats? Go for raw coconut, avocados, almonds, walnuts, acai fruit, flax seeds, cashews, hemp seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds or tahini, pecans, and olives. Many of these are also packed with proteins, vitamin B, and magnesium to enhance brain health even further. Good morning. # wellness # healthylifestyle Your wellness is unstoppable! @DrOsaz
